NEWS OF HOSTILE ACTIVITY
The work of observing the business espionage scene and analyzing new developments in methods and technology continues.
One of the most notable developments observed was the development and marketing of eavesdropping devices in Russia.
Voice frequency recorders of a very small size are available. They are quite remarkable for the sophistication and quality of their design and production.
Transmitter/microphones for eavesdropping incorporate digital modulation, masking of the carrier signal, and a remote control system within the same package. The characteristics of the signals they produce could deceive a searcher if he is not aware of their existence.
The radio receiver for use with the transmitters is small enough to be hand-held, and contains the decoder for the digital signal and a digital recorder with up to 9 hours of recording time.
